SecuPlate® and SecuScreen®
The safe choice for banknote and high security applications.
70 years of innovation
When we were founded as a part of Stork in 1947, our primary market was textile printing. Our ground- breaking technical innovations made us the first company to offer high-speed printing of popular designs. Our unique rotary screen printing technology quickly enabled us to move beyond textile printing to offer new solutions for labels, wall coverings, flooring and more. It wasn’t long before we took the next step in printing: from rotary to digital printing, culminating in the development of our exclusive Archer® technology. Our continuous product innovation has brought us over 300 patents and enables us to redefine the digital printing landscape with faster, more reliable and more versatile solutions.

the fundamentals
With SPGPrints’ SecuPlate® and SecuScreen® screens, you are assured of exceptionally reliable, long-lasting and highly accurate print results on a wide range of web-widths and sheet sizes for finishing presses for banknotes. Over the years, SPGPrints has developed proprietary screen specifications that work optimally with security inks. Some key words in this respect: Iridescents, OVis, OVMIs (ike Spark and Spark Live), tactile or optical authentication and holographic security features (Optaglio).
SecuPlate and SecuScreen are manufactured by electroforming and consist of 100% non-woven nickel. The result is a unique, strong, hexagonal structure that gives an exceptionally high stability for perfectly registered print. This stability also enables printing large web-widths. By using the hexagonal structure, SecuPlate and SecuScreen have 15% more holes compared to the same mesh count from any other screen brand.
Responsibility in the complete process
SPGPrints offers next level process quality and efficiency through (seamless) screen printing and digital imaging during the finishing process of banknote printing. Based on the common screens that are “seam-sealed” within the traditional analogue way of imaging. A fully digital pre-press process with secuLEN direct laser engraving is now available for banknote printing in combination with yet another improvement: seamless screens with further improved life time.
SPGPrints has developed a range of mesh specifications specifically for printing different security features and applications. Our unique production method enables us to manufacture almost any mesh thickness or open area configuration. So, whatever your requirements, we can make a mesh to deliver the result you want.
The mesh material, developed for commonly used sheet fed presses and pre-press workflows, has now been optimised for banknote printing. It can be integrated into any conventional or digital pre-press workflow, where plates are used.
Aseamless screen, providing extra high stability, available in a repeat size of 880 mm. The screen comes pre-coated, and suitable for imaging with the secuLEN direct laser engraver, which will support you in achieving an optimum end result.
Suitable for roll-to-roll printing, where we have a huge diversity of mesh types available, for printing widths from 250 mm up to more than 900 mm. The SecuMesh rotary screen comes either with a seam or can be supplied in a seamless version.
